The next International Catholic Conference of Guiding World Meeting as well as its next Council have been dated in Poland answering the cordial invitation that this country has made to it. This election is not due to Luck.
 

History, many times dramatic and too many cruel and devastating made from Poland an invalid country, stepped over, humiliated and always in process of reconstruction. This shows Poland’s tenacity, its value and hope strength.

Today, after the nazism fall, the collapse of the Soviet Union, Poland finds itself being the crossroad between East and West. Today Poland is the meeting place between the Eastern and Western Europe. Finally Poland recovered its right to be itself. After five years of nazi domination and many others of Soviet colonization, today Poland is free. However, it keeps the injuries of a past history. Poland knew the terrible torment that, despite them, the nazis installed there many of their extermination fields, one of them is Auschwitz; and the torment of having the Soviet regimen concreting so many genocides. Warsaw was where the nazis killed the Jewish ghetto.

What made the Polish people resist so many death abysm ? What made Poland never obey in spite of so many humiliations? Which is the Faith that made Poland keep upright?

Now we will go to Poland to discover the sources of this amazing courage. We will go to this source as pilgrims. We will go for strength in this memory. After all the devastation of the 20th Century, after so many crimes and too many wars, after so many tears and too many mourns, after so much hate and too many ruins, it is time to invent reconciliation. Reconciliation, true reconciliation, is not happy with forgetting everything, is not happy with clean slates. It invents a new life. It is not happy with cleaning and fixing things or placing things where they used to be, it gives birth to a new beginning.

We will not try to « re start» to try everything we have failed before, we will «start ». ». Together we will give birth to a new day. Together we will make a new morning in the world. When God « resuscitates » he doesn’t mend, he is not happy with matching the patches with pieces of thread, God does not improvise, he gives birth.
      ï He gives birth to new relations,
      ïHe gives birth to new looks, new gestures,
      ï He gives birth to hope.
      ï He gives birth to a new way of living his faith.
      ï He gives birth to a new Love.
      ï He gives birth to an extraordinary tenderness.

He makes yesterday enemies to be brothers or sisters. He gives Gospel the good taste of just baked bread, creaking and delicious.

It is time for all the guides in all the countries to emerge so that finally we can make prophet Isaiah's dream
« shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks to cultivate the ground and finish with hunger. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

                    O house of Jacob, come!
