Each gift is born
from the Spirit, it is born as service to the others, as a grace which
spills over everybody for the common good.
Celebrating Pentecost is to celebrate the Church’s way towards becoming a
disciple. A Church which opens its doors in great happiness to tell the
World that the Lord has resuscitated. It is to celebrate that God is for
everybody, especially for the most needed.
In the same way we saw that during Easter the Lord removed the stone, we can
see now how the Lord opens the doors which we closed out of fear. He opens
the doors so we can encourage ourselves to go out guided by the strenght of
the Holy Spirit. It is an invitation to serve the other, to spill the
happiness for the Resuscitated God.
A vocation of service which has been enlarged by the flame of love and
commitment. The love and commitment which the girl guide groups should
transmit to the world... in brotherhood we are able to create spaces of
tenderness and freedom in the middle of the difficulties which appear.
Spaces where it is possible to be available for the other.
A group which is driven by the Spirit is a group which radiates love and
commitment and for the same reason it becomes a lively invitation to the
commitment to life. That Spirit reminds us of the deep meaning of the
movement which is born and whose purpose is to build a world a little bit
better. It makes us capable of discovering the realities of our time and,
with the wisdom which comes from God, we can do things for the benefit of
everybody.
That’s why, to celebrate Pentecost is to become happy, because we celebrate
a Church which has open doors for and commitment with everybody.
