And when the
sabbath was past, the women went to the sepulchre.
This event, which seems to be so simple, reminds us of the path many women
walk along during their lives. Their gentleness, tenderness and that special
way of seeing things are shown in they way they take care of the beloved
one, even between pain and death, even to the detriment of their own
suffering.
This way of being becomes clear when they are on their way to the sepulchre
–it is almost like a metaphor as many women are on their way to the
sepulchre because society turns them into things, it marginalizes them, it
turns them into an object-, having followed Jesus’ Passion with their own
passion, they go to the sepulchre because they know He has never abandoned
them, he has returned them their dignity, this is the reason why they can’t
avoid doing something for Him.
Again, they have the experience of the God who makes structures tremble, who
moves stones, who returns hope. He is not here, HE HAS RISEN FROM THE DEAD.
Their hearts are full of happiness and their lives are full of fulfilment.
GOD HAS COME BACK TO LIFE. He hasn’t forgotten them, He is still present.
When sharing the happiness of THE ONE WHO HAS COME BACK TO LIFE among us,
don’t forget to become committed to the service of the God who walks next to
us because the reality of death is the reality of becoming committed to the
God of life. The path that leads to the meeting with the one who has come
back to life is the path of FIDELITY, of trust in God.
Happy Easter !
