MEDITATION

Buenos Aires will not be
for us a Conference, a place to mastermind strategies, express passions and
seek to influence policies.
There will not be winners or losers , there will be only the call from the
Gospel.
In Buenos Aires nobody will be alone. Everyone will be always with everyone:
Buenos Aires will be a communion.
No strategies, no big operations, but a Church, a being together.
In Buenos Aires it will not be as it is in the world of the economy or on the financial markets or in the world of business, where the rich get always richer and the poor get poorer and poorer. The Gathering in the Argentina will take great care not to underline the superiority of money, of culture, of the economy of religion, of tribes, of multinationals or the madness of any type of power.
None of us will go to Argentina with the secret wish that nothing should move, nothing should be changed, that the rich should remain rich and the poor remain poor.
Politicians, financial and other experts are digging with their absurd desires a black hole everywhere, and it is high time for an initiative, a gesture, a creation, a new start, a birth.
Teenagers thirst for hope.
Buenos Aires will be our
joint initiative. Each of you will have a word to say, tell about their own
experience, because Guiding is not a doctrine, not an idea, nor a theory, it
is a living experience. Therein resides the human competence of Guiding.
It concerns us all.
In Buenos Aires, we will work together so that the world will not remain a
show for sale, so that the woman and the girl should not become a
consumer-good. So that the smiles do not become commercial smiles, so that
the gestures remain alive, so that the lips are never condemned to shut up.
We promise ourselves to
leave Buenos Aires better human being than we were on arrival.
This will be our common task
