To the ICCG correspondents and Member Associations

Dear friends,

Three months after our Warsaw World Council and Meeting we want to share with you the invitation arisen by the delegates’ work during the days of July.

• Deepening our reflection about the meaning of being:
             women,
             believers,
             disciples,
             at this time of history,
             in the heart of the movement of the girls, teenagers and young women where our mission is an education mission.

• Deepening our reflection since the personal and local reality, since our place in family, society and the Church.

• Letting ourselves be amazed by a challenging and complex time, listening to the girls, teenagers and young women, opening
  our heart to their pleasures and sorrows, their unfulfilled necessities, their silences and words.

• Allowing the word of God interpelate and question us.

• Opening ourselves to listen to the personal invitation Jesus makes to each and every one of us to be his disciples in the
  extraordinary experience lived everyday, in the meeting with each person who becomes a brother or sister in Him.

•Growing in fidelity to a way of living that is Jesus’ way. To collaborate in the construction of the world using Jesus’ criteria. To
  believe that living in justice and love is the will of God for every person, for all the community, for all the people.

Today, more than ever before, we need to know ourselves disciples, called by the love of a God who values us, heals us, he discovers us able to give and receive and sends us once and again to be signs of His tenderness in the reality of the girls, teenagers and young people.

Each association is then invited to set the

                                              discipleship as the axis for its reflection in this triennium,

to offer its members spaces and times to deepen in this vocation and do it since the richness of its history, its programmes and its realities. At the level of the world team we will discover some reflection proposals in the web-site space “Entre mate y mate”

The proposals voted in Warsaw also convoke each association. We wish to know about who are the people that work in our faith-animation programs, so you will receive in the letter number 3 a questionnaire: we need your answer.

We have vote for making our web-site more dynamic, organizing our finance team. We need the names of the people who are going to participate in this work.


We confirm the importance of the common work, the richness of our meetings, the value of the pedagogical documents. We need the proposal to circulate, to reach as many members as it is possible, they become tools for the enrichment of each guide community.

The times between World Meetings and Councils, are living times, full of intense work, of starting practicing the decisions and orientations we have agreed on. So let’s start working.

                                                                                

This is the information I would like to share with you:

• My thanks to the ZHP for all its work and responsibility. They have been marvelous hosts.

• To the old World Team for their availability and compromise. To the Council Secretary Susan Jones for her quickness at the
  time of setting the final document, as well as the Council President.

• In the month of September I met the Responsible of the Region Europe who prepares enthusiastically the first team meeting
  for next December.

• The Region Middle East has already held a team meeting and is planning their first activities.

• I have participated in the COIC Coordinator Committee Meeting which is organizing the next World Assembly for June 2007.
  In this Assembly concludes our position as ICCG in the CC.

• Through the AGESCI we are participating in a project on education for peace by the COIC in Sarajevo, soon Scouts et Guides
  from France delegate is going to join it.

• Our first World Team meeting is going to be, God willing, in February 2007 in Paris; since this one you will have a triennium
  definitive program.

Wishing each of you and each association fecund times, “walking through the paths of the Lord”.
