Let us prepare ( second part )

Some questions to set out toward Buenos AiresSome questions to set out toward Buenos Aires

1°                    On the first day, each delegation will present itself with a "collage", a poster or a drawing made by the girl guides of its
association and that expresses a wish for peace, a desire for the world we live in and that we want to expose to
                    other delegations.

           -  This presentation should not exceed  50 x 40 cm.. And make sure that it contains the name and the address of
                   their autors
.

           -  Remember the conditions of peace that were exposed by Jean Paul II on the Peace World Day  :

§     TRUTH for each person be aware of the fact that in addition to his personal rights there are obligations towards the others.

§       JUSTICE build on respect and carrying out of the obligations towards the others.

§       LOVE that makes neighbour's  needs feel like ours and that we search to share with all the values of the spirit.

§       LIBERTY that guides the reason and makes that we assume with courage the responsability of our own acts.

In these times of threat for peace, in those days of violence ... what is the message that the children, the teenagers,
the youngs want to send to the delegates and to the world.

2°

On the first evening we will know each other during an informal evening

       §       who is each delegate
§        where does she live
§        what does she do
§        how is her family,
§        her home,
§        her work

Six or seven  personal pictures will enable to exchange between us even if we do not know very well the language of the
other. We will go to meet the other through our personal history.

What else will we need for this evening: traditional lullabies that we sing to our childrens, histories they read, games they play.

3°                        During the mass of this first evening, at the moment of the  offerings we desire that each delegation bring some
school material like coloured pencils, scissors, modelling clay, felt pens . . . We will donate these to a community
                        center

... if you have problems in bringing those articles you can foresee to buy them in Buenos Aires.

4°

Do not forget to bring stickers, pins or badges to offer to the girl guides and others that will visit us.

5°                        The most important projects that the national associations are managing with the girl guides helping other children,
working in the community, fighting against discrimination and exclusion, helping immigrants, etc.

Bring them on posters with pictures and a short description of the project. We will expose them on wednesday the 23 th
              in the morning.

Every other material that can help present the work of your association : brochures, magazines, videos would be terrific.

6°

the transport, materials, publications costs or anything you want.
