Silesia (Śląsk) is a historical and
ethnographic region in south-western Poland. It is divided into Upper and Lower
Silesia. The former is the biggest industrial area in Poland whereas the latter
is interesting from a historical (the city of Wrocław) and geographical
(beautiful mountainous landscapes of Sudety) point of view.
