VISUAL ARTS - PAINTING 4
Poster
Polish poster has always been much more that just commercial advertising or a playbill - it is a form of art in its own right.
It often served as a means of political (both official communist and underground anti-communist) propaganda or social advertising. The most famous artists include Jan Lenica, Jan Młodożeniec, Franciszek Starowieyski and Rafał Olbiński.
