Dear Friends,
Thank you for having sent us your
good whishes for Christmas and the New Year, and even if it is now a little
late in the year for good wishes, the World Team does wish all associations
a good and prosperous
We are six month away from our World Gathering and it is time to send you all the necessary forms for the inscription of your delegations. Forms

These forms should be returned by the
15th
of March 2003
to the address of
Marie-Thérèse Marchand, This letter is being sent to you by e-mail and by post. You will also find it on our ICCG web-site, on which you’ll also find up-to-date information on the progress of the preparations for the event. We’d like to thank very warmly our friends the Girl Guides from the Argentina for this effort, as well as Céline Gélinas, for the considerable work undertaken. So, do consult the site on a regular basis…
Costs
Taking into account the state of our finances, and thanking very much the Europe and the Middle Eastern Region for their solidarity, the final cost of the Gathering has been fixed to 350 US$. The cost of participation at the Council meeting has been established at 35 US$.
At present we still don’t know the amount of grants we will be able to obtain at world level, and therefore we are unable to tell you whether we will be able to offer grants and to what amount. As we told you in our previous letters we rely on your drive, energy and motivation to find the means to come to Buenos Aires. Finding finances is our strong priority and we are doing our utmost to advance in this field
Call for candidatures
This time we are not requesting you to think about possible candidatures, but to send in concrete proposals for candidatures for all ICCG vacancies at World or regional level (World executive and Regional executives) see letter N° 6. The next elections are crucial for our Organization.
To present a candidate for a responsible post within
ICCG, is for an association a means of participating even more actively and
strongly in promoting women in society and the Church.
Transport – Visas
It is most important that you
obtain already now the necessary visas
and make all the enquiries in order to book your flights with the airlines offering you the most economical tickets and routes.
Do start all the necessary paper-work, send in the inscription forms for
your delegates within the given deadline, even if you don’t have yet the
financial backing needed.

Our next letter will inform you of the financial situation. We invite all those associations who may be able to afford it, to help those in a difficult financial position. Make copies of the “appeal for solidarity and donations” form and send it out to your local parishes, to individual donors, together with a letter stressing the importance of this world gathering and the subjects it is going to develop.
