Letter n° 6 – Ref. Meeting and World Council 2006
To the
Guide-Scout Associations members of the ICCG Dear friends, It’s a pleasure to invite your associations to our next Meeting and World Council. We have accepted the invitation of those who will be our hostesses, ZHP, Polish Scouting and Guiding Association. Our meeting is planned to be from the 16th to the 20th of July 2006, considering the arrival of the participants on the 15th and the leaving in the morning of the 21st. After that the World Council will take place from the midday of the 21st of July to the night of the 23rd, considering the leaving for the morning of the 14th. We have had our first work meeting for the organization of the events of the National Team of ZHP and we will meet again with the International Commissioner during the next World Team meeting in Rome next January. Our meetings look for being an event that asks each participant’s life and each association that it represents, the discovery of the place and its people, a way with steps, direction and sense. Aware of the realities of our girls and teenagers, of our peoples and cultures we open ourselves in order that the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ can interpret and comfort us. In the meeting there is time for personal work and for team work, for the start and celebration, for silence and dialogue. The Council shows a different presence and participation but complementary, it’ s time to show what we have done, to leave traces, to make decisions, to admit our double belonging, to the Guide Scouts World Association and the Church International Organizations. Let’s remember the Associations the main importance of the participation in both the meeting and in the Council, as well as those who represent them are members of the national team and able to make decisions in the name of their countries, define politics for the future and compromise their institutions in the job around them. We can already start to prepare ourselves for this meeting, to work to obtain the economic help, so that all the associations can be present, re read the decisions made by the last Council in Buenos Aires and look how much we have involved ourselves as Associations in this call to open ourselves, on one hand, to the listening of the girl and teenager’s world and on the other the solidary compromise. In February you will receive the second circular letter with all the information about the place, prices, and essentially, the topic and lines of the program, although we would like to have with anticipation an answer about your will of participating, because of that we request you to fulfill the attached card.
