Buenos Aires, March 2004
Dear friends from the member
associations and correspondents of the ICCG: We are happy to be in touch again. This time we will tell you the activities that have been taking place since our last communication (2nd. Letter, december, 2003). Between the 2nd. and the 8th. of January, we had the first meeting of the world team. During that week, we worked hard, and we were able to define the working plan 2003-2006, which we want you to know.
Plan of work 2003 - 2006 The plan of action comes from the reading and analisys of the Buenos Aires Council resolutions and from the appreciations and points of view of the Regional Responsible regarding the place, presence and mision of the ICCG in relation with the Guide-Scouts national organizations and the ICO (International Catholic Organizations).
♣ The main working point will be communication: between the World Team and the Guide National Associations, and with other organizations, the Church, the WAGGGS, the ICCS, in order to build a culture of peace and self identity.
This calling to communicate, is also an invitation to each Organization to share its thoughts, projects, documents. As it was proposed in the Council, the world and regional levels will inform annually all the things that are done.
We want to enrich the ICCG web site, so that it can be a resourse to the different organizations in faith education.
♣
A second aim will be to deepen our catholic identity and
oppening to ♣ Seing how urgent it is to commite to the permanent education of leaders, one of the things to do is to produce materials related to the history of the ICCG, new solidarities, guide pedagogy, the importance of working in groups, and the pacific conflicts salving, the reconciliation as a path towards peace.
♣ Finally, we will seek a group re reading of the spirituality document of the WAGGGS.
