                  LETTER N° 11

                                                             Argentina, June 2005

Letter n° 11 - Ref.: Sending Document and various information

To the ICCG member Organizations
To the correspondent Organizations

Dear friends,

It’s a pleasure to send you some samples of the second document of the publications plan “Guiding: an inclusive pedagogy in times of exclusion”.

Send them, please, to your national teams, of faith animation and instructors to take advantage of it.

It is very important to know what kind of welcome the materials have, if they can be used in meetings or workshops, if you need more material, all in all, the feedback required to answer in a more effective way the necessities of our member organizations.

The F. Jean Debruynne party has given us the possibility to meet many people who have taken active part in the ICCG along its 40 years; general secretaries, members of the regional teams, participants of discourses and meetings, chaplains…

It arouse the idea of not losing contact and keeping you informed about the activities and documents of the ICCG. To make it possible we need you send us more names and e-mails or
traditional addresses to complete the data we have.

In this 40 anniversary year, remembering is reminding ourselves that we are part of a rich history of challenges and searches, how to live Jesus Gospel in Guiding, how to take to every guide’s heart the conviction that our movement is an option for a deeply humanizing education.

We want to share with you that the Pontifical Council to the laics have asked to all the international catholic organizations the revision of their statues and the modification of them to the Code of Canonical Law.

Some documents of the church have been suggested to also help to have a deep look at the place laics have in the church and in the world.

As members of the OIC Conference we have had access to the group materials of Canonical Law formed by the Conference, as well as a meeting with the Dr. Lucienne Sallé from the CPPL. The World association knows about the process we have started because, as you may remember, each change of statue requires also the approbation of the World Council, and not contradicting our Catholic Letter nor the Statues of the World Associations.

So, this process requires a job concerted among the ICCG world team, the World Association of Leaders and Guide Scouts and the CPPL.

As far as we are concerned, we have been reflectioning in our last meeting in Rome, making contact with other associations’ statues which are already passed by the CPL and received an specialist’s counsel.

We will keep you informed about the steps we make.

                                             JMJ.

We take advantage o this letter to tell you that the PSG goes on with the preparation for the guides who assist the JMJ / WJD. Don’t stop making contact with them through the International Commissioner.

                           “ The way of solidarity”

If any Association still wishes to include a brief comment about a project of community service in our next document, “ The way of solidarity”, we have prolonged the time until July 15th. ( Pictures  will be also welcome).

With the happiness of the meeting and the hope of going on walking in unison.
In María de Guadalupe
